Maura - John Mock - Don Johnson - Dave Francis - Set List - To Be The One - Spinning Wheel - Poetic Justice - No Place To Hide - Salley Gardens - Down Where The Drunkards Roll - I Know My Love - The Weakness In Me - Hay Una Mujuer Deseparacida - Western Highway - Blue Train - Poor Man's House - Summerfly - Galileo - Love You In The Middle - The Blessing - The Water Is Wide - Leaving Neidin
Another solid show from Maura, John, Don and Dave. My Mom really enjoyed her first show and was delighted to meet Maura at the end. Show highlights - Poetic Justice was incredible, love hearing that song - She intro'd No Place To Hide that she had finally conquered this new song from Declan O'Rourke and didn't need the cheat sheets and then proceeded to flub the first or second verse, super funny moment, love the flubs - The acapella stuff was top notch as usual, escpecially The Weakness and Hay Una Mujer. Water is Wide was done without the mic as usual and was a stunner - Summerfly was great, loved the raspyness in Maura's voice for the words in the song From June till September and The Summertime Is all that I remember - The closer was Leaving Neiden by Jimmy McCarthy and I can't ever remember hearing that one live. So many sublime moments, too many to count. I love it when Maura is in the zone. There is nothing like it. Her shows never get old. The only regret of the evening was missing John Mock as the opener because our dinner ran late.
For those of you lucky enough to be seeing the upcoming shows in March it looks like you are going to get a bonus of the real "Declan O'Rourke" LIVE for a couple of tunes in Maura's set. I think my brother and sister are going to the Birchmere show this Saturday. Should be a good one. The Birchmere is always packed for Maura.

Patrick, I thought the 21012 year was amazing, figuring you somehow got ahead of us all.
It sounds like a great, great show! Thanks for the set list and describing the show.
During all of the shows I've seen I don't ever recall "Leaving Neiden", and if "No Place to Hide" is new then I know I haven't heard that one. Unfortunately my last live MO was back a while ago at a really nice new NYC venue named The City Winery.
I am envious.
This Birchmere show may be the first there without Teddy Kennedy being in the audience (??). Maybe Vicki got there.
