One of the best shows ever! In my top three all time. Here's the setlist and it's huge! To Be The One - Spinning Wheel - A Far Cry - Poetic Justice - No Place To Hide - Salley Gardens - Shades of Gloria - Blue Train - Summerfly - Love You In The Middle - Poor Man's House - It Don't Bring You - Feet of a Dancer - Galileo - The Weakness in Me - Hay Una Mujer Deseparacida - Western Highway - The Blessing - Trouble in the Fields - Crazy Love. 20 song setlist! Maura was on Fire. John and Don were superb as usual. Funny flub at the begining of Love you in the Middle had everyone laughing, including Maura. Hay Una Mujer with the lights dimmed low was a stunner. My brother brought his best friend Jody Manor to his show for the first time seeing Maura. Of course he is hooked for life. His favorite was Poor Man's House (no wonder). We also had with us the Reiley sisters, Mame who is the chair of the Virginia chapter of the DNC and her fabulous sister Liz, the Remax million dollar wiz! The show was a Maura sing along with Mo encouraging us all throughout the show. The opening act was the lovely Erin Thomas from Nashville with John Mock helping out on guitar. Keep your eyes and ears out for her and go see her if you can. This was her first show at the Birchmere and we all welcomed her with open arms.

A special shout out to the manager of the venue John and the best talent booker in the biz Michael Jaworek. Thanks for taking such good care of us everytime we come to the Birchmere. It truly is one of the best music venues in the U.S.

Thanks to Maura, John and Don for the after show hangout and the ride to the Metro Station. I caught the last train on the Blue Line (Blue Train) and made it just in time to the metro center to catch the red line up to Adams Morgan, then a short walk to my brothers co-op just a few buildings up from the Russian Embassy.

I know this won't be the last time we see Maura on stage. Hopefully my wife (Mo) and I can catch a few of the Ireland gigs this summer. Mo/Mac I will email you later for suggestions on where to stay on the west coast of Clare.

Love,

Pat

P.S. Congrats to Maura's son Jesse for winning the Geography Bee for the University School of Nashville. Can't believe Jesse is a junior in high school already. They grow so fast! Wonder where Jesse will go to college. Vandy like his Poppa? Trinity in Ireland? Some ivy league school? He is an amazing young man with two of the best people on the planet as his parents. Love you all!

So glad you had a good time! I am going to the one in Scituate (sp?) Ma. It is on March 16th. We are really looking forward to it. My son and myself are making a little road trip out of it.

I cant wait. I also feel it will not be the last time. As a teacher, I am fortunate to have summers off so I can definitely seem myself doing a road trip to Nashville if she were ever to do a benefit show there.

Is there ever talk of her working on an album?

It sounds like you had a wonderful time Pat, I am looking forward to the show next Monday night at BB King's in NYC. It seems like Jesse was born jsut a few years ago, a junior in High School, that is unreal, wow, time just flies by so fast.

I hope this won't be the last time I get to hear Maura sing live, but if it is, sounds like these shows are terrific.

All the best to all.
